Well, May is turning out to be a month of new beginnings for me!
First off, back on weight watchers (ugh). My goal is to shed 8 more pounds. I will be content with 5, but I am striving for 8. My mom decided to give it a shot, so I am joining her in the fun! It worked SO well last time (over 20 lbs!) that I know if I stick with it for a couple of months, I'll be right back to my goal weight.
Second, I am going to work out again if it kills me (and it very well might). I'm not saying it's going to happen every day - that's just unrealistic. But, it will happen a few times a week.
Third - I am trying my hand at gardening. I planted some pretty flowers and azalea bushes, and I'm going to see if I can actually keep them alive for once. If it weren't for the torrential downpour we endured today, they'd be doing pretty well.
Fourth - I am going to be a foster birdie parent! I have a nest in my eave with a mommy in it who has laid eggs! I can't wait until they hatch! Yay!!!
Fifth - and here's the bombshell - I got a new car!!!!!! After nine years with my faithful black Camry, I have traded it in for, well, another black Camry! Only, I've gone from a fairly stripped LE to a FUUUUULLLLLY loaded XLE. I got the deal I wanted, thank you very much!! They hate me at the dealership. A lot. But, so what? For less than $300/month I have a beautiful 2008 Camry XLE V6 with every feature I could ever want. It only has 22K miles. It's so grown-uppy! I feel all important driving it! So exciting. I would go stare at it right now if I could, but it's at the service center getting new tires and touch-ups (part of the deal . Again - Yay me!). I will get it back tomorrow night, and then it's mine forever!! Hopefully I won't get too many tickets driving it. That V6 is FAST.
Anywho - back to work. That's one thing about May that certainly isn't going to change!
Hope you're all having a fabulous day!

Wait. Are we supposed to make resolutions in May? I thought it was just Jan. Or maybe it is a Catholic thing? Like a follow up to lent? Phew. I'm safe then. Enjoy the new car, SS. We have a similar announcement to make here at Chez Chicken, soon. Are you sure your Camry is black, that's what I want to know.
So exciting! Enjoy the ride! It feels like a month for resolutions for me too. We'll see.
